Tenon and Tailored was founded by Matt Marino in Charlotte, NC in August, 2020- right in the height of the pandemic. While the pandemic had lots of challenges of its own, that didn’t stop Matt from reaching his dream of starting a woodworking business that offered contemporary and innovative woodworking for commercial businesses and residents in the Charlotte area.
Starting with just a few tools in his garage, he landed multiple jobs quickly , including a sign for Hopping CLT Brewery (pictured upper right), and custom chairs for Not Just Coffee (pictured lower left).
Fast forward to 2023, Matt has built a solid team of artisans to support his vision in taking Tenon & Tailored to new heights. Since fall of 2020, Tenon & Tailored has offered services to lots of big name restaurants, cafes, and bars across Charlotte, as well as residential kitchens, built-ins, custom fine furniture and more.
Our team is very excited for the future of Tenon & Tailored and look forward to see where their passion for fine woodworking and craftsmanship takes them in 2023.
